Why did you become an attorney?

Serah is a graduate from the University of Dayton School of Law and is a member of the Ohio Bar. She maintains associations with the Ohio State Bar Association and the Dayton Bar Association. Among other areas, her previous experience includes work in the juvenile court system as a GAL/CASA and social security disability law.

After working in the social welfare system for almost a decade, Serah pursued her career as an attorney to provide guidance and assistance to individuals facing complex and diverse legal issues in their lives.

What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?

She has a long history of working with clients in a variety of legal settings and places high value on the trust and integrity needed to maintain good working relationships. It is her responsibility to provide oversight on all client matters, as well as administration of day to day activities within the firm. In addition to assisting on the employment law, contract law and estate planning cases, she handles all of the Social Security Disability matters within the firm. Her services include preparing the “start up” paperwork for newly formed non-profit and for profit corporations, as well as other employment related matters for both the public and private employment sectors.

What made you choose your primary specialty focus of law?

After 6 years of employment as a Social Worker, another 4 as a foster parent and two adopted children, I made the decision to refocus my time and energy on the law and the impact it has on families. In doing so, I also became greatly interested in other significant aspects of the family unit, including employment and financial obligations. As a result, I have largely focused my practice on employment law, including wrongful termination, and family law.

What makes your law firm unique?

Siemann & Associates, Co., L.P.A. is a comprehensive law practice dedicated to building long term trusting relationships with our clients. Our commitment to every client is to provide high quality, thorough, cost effective legal solutions to their problems. Siemann & Associates recently purchased the firm Strobl & Associates which was founded in 2006 by the managing partner Lori A. Strobl. Since the purchase, Strobl & Associates has changed names to Siemann & Associates.  Siemann & Associates provides services to clients involved in a variety of areas of law including Business law with an emphasis on Employment related matters, Domestic Relations, Contracts, Social Security Disability and Estate Planning.

Describe your ideal client.

Ideally, all lawyers want clients who are honest and forthcoming with their situations. Additionally, it is important for my clients to maintain regular contact, as I will always strive to do the same. And most importantly, I want clients that are as dedicated to their case as they expect me to be.

Describe your personal interest and hobbies.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. If I am not watching one of the kids school activities, I am regularly spending time out in the community watching movies, hiking, or visiting local festivals.

Describe your charitable activities.

I volunteer regularly with the AFJROTC program in New Carlisle, Ohio and sit on the Parent Booster Board for the non-profit corporation. I have worked with children for the last ten years in various capacities including as a volunteer Teen Court Hearing Monitor, foster parent, and CASA worker.
